The Moondig have a habit of releasing albums when I'm getting to bed so I have sweet dreams. Greatly appreciated :) I'll sleep now and dream of the Great Beyond behind the Moon.
In the symphony of celestial elements, Germanium, with its atomic number 32, emerges as a harmonious metalloid within Group 14, adorned with a face-centered cubic crystalline structure. It conducts a cosmic dance in the lunar soil, waiting to be discovered and mined for our otherworldly melodic odyssey, 'The Moondig.'
Germanium unveils its profound mysteries with five stable isotopes: 70, 72, 73, 74, and the venerable 76. The latter - 76Ge - boasting a half-life of 1.78 trillion years, stands as a testament to time itself, surpassing the age of the universe.
Blending with arsenic, gallium, indium, antimony, or phosphorus, Germanium crafts the components of our technological symphony. Its transparency to infrared radiation renders it essential for infrared instruments and detectors, while ongoing studies explore its potential in chemotherapy.
Germanium, an intrinsic semiconductor, shines in triple-layered solar panels, surpassing traditional cells in converting light to electricity. Its role as the base layer in multijunction solar cells makes it the preferred power source for space missions, embodying efficiency in the human quest for sustainable energy.
Germanium can even transcend these applications, adorning quantum computers and fiber optic cables with its tech prowess. Tracing its roots to the transistor's genesis in the 1950s, Germanium has evolved into a cornerstone of modern technology, propelling us to the stars and beyond.
As we contemplate the cosmos, we strive to minimize our reliance on Germanium in space. Material use efficiency becomes our uplifting mantra, resonating through the vastness of space.
In this Opus of science and art, Germanium becomes both the notes and the instrument, playing a transcendent melody that echoes through the cosmic corridors of the Moon. 'The Moondig' is not just a mission; it is a celestial concert, where Germanium's song intertwines with the harmony of the universe. Mining Germanium is not merely an excavation of resources but an artistic endeavor, a delicate choreography of mining, digging, and delving into the lunar soul, where each note represents a mineral extracted, each chord a step closer to the realization of our moon base.
The hallucinatory nature of this venture echoes in the sublime landscapes of Luna, where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary. The lunar soil, infused with the essence of Germanium, becomes a surreal palette to paint a dreamscape that blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination.
The production of Germanium on Luna mirrors the psychological impact of our celestial ambitions—a cathartic release, a fusion of creativity and ingenuity that transcends the mundane. Our lunar base creates a space where the boundaries between the tangible and the intangible dissolve.
In the lunar silence, ‘The Moondig’ becomes an ode to the convergence of human creativity and the mesmerising dance of elements. The Moon, once a distant muse, now hosts a testament to the boundless possibilities that unfold when humanity reaches for the stars.

A killer live experimental rock LP from Chris Forsyth with the rhythm section of Sunwatchers, full of blistering energy. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 30, 2021
As has (rightfully) already been said elsewhere, this band and album are "absolute fire."
Despite the doom-gloom cover art, this type of rock music is a positive force. Especially without vocals, which for me is a bonus. Dale Lloyd
