Now that we have discovered that the largest amount of the titanium-rich mineral ‘ilmenite’ (FeTiO3) is in the 'Mare Tranquillitatis' on your moon map, we can plant our spade there in the regolith.

As extraction method, we're gonna use smelting, which will break down the ilmenite into its basic elements, as ilmenite would provide a source of iron and titanium and essential oxygen extraction.

There are plenty of other reasons to mine this metal with Hexagonal crystalline structure and atomic number 22; It's lightweight, super strong, and has amazing resistance to corrosion and fatigue. That makes it perfect for making all sorts of things on the moon, like spacecrafts, habitats, machinery, and industrial mining and processing equipment.

And wherever a bright light surface is needed, we can provide TiO2 for the lunar fabrication of white paint.
